I mean, think about Facebook, what are they really producing? A huge online community where people can network with each other in an individual and or business basis. The really invented nothing but perfected everything. And now there is a movie being made(The Social Network) about the founder and its rise to the top. Geeez why am I intrigued with something that has little innovation and more optimization from lesser products/services…MySpace and other platforms existed way before Facebook yet they are the ones capitalizing the most. Moreover Twitter is limited form of Facebook pushed by the media and celebrities strategically and guess what it worked. It became and is very successful but will they learn how to money from it? These types of ideas and social networks spun into their own microeconomic market channels with cold hard data to be analyzed and therefore to be capitalized. I feel bad for Myspace and websites alike who had and implemented an amazing idea yet s were unsuccessful at fine tuning to current and future trends thus current minority marketshare.
